Pfizer New London Site to be sold to the State of Connecticut
Submitted by Anonymous on Tue, 12/01/2010 - 02:13Dr. Doom-- where R U?
Submitted by Anonymous on Sat, 26/09/2009 - 00:06The end is near, and fruitless chatter is everywhere. The endless rumors, the tiring scenarios of cuts to management, PhD's, associates and the like in R&D are rampant. The crap on site closures, deep cuts in personnel not being 'mapped' into the Pfizer BU's are getting worrisome-- who do I believe?
Word at Pfizer GNL: Don't buy a new house
Submitted by Anonymous on Wed, 23/09/2009 - 20:48I have a friend, R6 or R7 (don't want to get too specific here) who is in charge of a moderate set of people. This person has been looking to buy a home for a long time and an almost unbelievable opportunity has presented itself. The deal is so good that unless my friend were SURE (s)he wasn't going to survive the merger, this would be a no brainer.

Biology to take a major hit

Anything new go down in Groton today (Thurs)
Submitted by Anonymous on Thu, 16/07/2009 - 22:51Today (Thursday), I have received 11 (!) emails from former colleagues at Groton--a combination of "join my LinkedIn account" and private emails (asking how things are where I'm working now...)
Last time I got such a flurry of emails of this type, it was when the last round of layoffs were announced.
Did anything go down in Groton today?
I was told 2 Pfizer sites are safe
Submitted by Anonymous on Sun, 12/07/2009 - 02:14I have taken a job as a Global Representative for a Pfizer business. I can live and work at any Pfizer site for my new job. I asked HR if they could tell me which site I should relocate to so that I will not have to move again after the Wyeth close. I was contacted 2 days later and told Groton or STL.

New Pfizer Layoffs in Maryville MO
Submitted by Anonymous on Wed, 17/06/2009 - 02:37Heard today that there was a major layoff of HR, Finanace and IT in Maryville, MO. I know this is true but not sure how many and exactly what departments were impacted. Everything is going to the outsourcing world there. Chesterfield wasn't impacted at all. Twenty one DSRD folfs leaving Groton this week, all are saying good bye through email.
