Where is Beckman Coulter going?

Many of those functions have been outsourced to other firms. Some functions like accounts payable or small subassembly manufacturing can be outsourced fairly easily.

Invitrogen = China peptides
Submitted by Anonymous on Mon, 17/08/2009 - 15:29Just received an email promotion from GL Biochem stating that they have been supplying Invitrogen with peptides since 2008.
Sad to say Invitrogen has joined other companies who resell China peptides: Biomatik, CPC, Chempep, Genescript, Peptide 2.0, and SynBioSci. Just to name a few.

VWR Layoffs not helping company. Company still bleeding
Submitted by Anonymous on Thu, 15/01/2009 - 00:31The latest round of job cuts at VWR are not helping the oompany as the company continues to see revenue decreases, margin losses and customers leaving. Management is trying to "Save" their way to profitability by cutting cost, mainly people. It will not work it appears.
