"The kids were so into it and really wanted to make a difference," said tiffany on saleGerl, an art teacher for the Pullman grade schools. Her classes created 955 of the fundred dollar bills.
When Tory, the fully suited artist/guard, drove up in the armored truck, the school children at the museum were excited. He showed them boxes of bills other children had made and a shovel that artist Mel Chin had created from a rifle.
The idea behind the rifle/shovel, Tory said, was to plant a good idea - like a seed - from something previously used for war. It was to remind people that good things sometimes grow from bad situations. This project has been a valuable tool for teaching artistic expression and the impact an individual can have for good, he said.
Tory collected the box of local fundred dollar bills and gave Chris Bruce, director of the Museum of Art, a certificate commemorating the donation and expressing appreciation for the community's support of the project.

The Museum of Art is located on Wilson Road across from Martin Stadium in the Fine Arts Center on the WSU campus. Gallery hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Saturday, Thursday until 7 p.m., closed Sunday.
Emboldened by the positive market testing, Ms Greiner, who grew up in cheap tiffany jewelry Chicago - her mother was a psychologist and her father was a lawyer and real estate developer - quit her day job as a script reader at a theatre in 1996 in order to devote herself to her business. Day after day, she worked the phones trying to arrange face-to-face meetings with jewellery buyers. "I would sit and call and call and call until I got lucky and whomever I was targeting happened to pick up the phone," she says. "And once they picked up the phone, I talked fast, because I knew I had to get their tiffany pendants on sale in the first couple of sentences. I told them: 'I have something that you've never seen before.' "
Her calls were fruitful. She set up a 28-day, 21-city tour to meet buyers, and most agreed to give her a shot. They bought in small quantities at first, but as shoppers responded positively, they increased their orders.
Within the company's first six months of business, Ms Greiner signed a national retail agreement with JC Penney, a large US department store chain. She also began a stint with the Home Shopping Network. During her first television appearance, she sold 2,000 earring organisers within minutes. In its first year, For Your Ease Only broke even, and within 18 months, Ms Greiner had made enough profit to pay back her bank loan. United States Coast Guard
