Statistical tools for pharmacovigilance surveillance, signal detection, data mining, modeling and analysis provide for early detection of true safety signals and reduce false positives. Through collaboration between DIA and US FDA, this unique pharmacovigilance training module features an overview of
FDA’s pharmacovigilance program, data-mining methods and tools for signal detection with application to FDA AERS database, and FDA’s Sentinel, Mini-Sentinel, and Observational Medical Outcomes Partnership (OMOP) activities.
