True, honestly I'm surprised JR is still with BCG. He has injected enough poison in the company to bring any place down. Scum like JR and RC continue to strive while doing their best to ruin good hard working people.

Of course we at Clinical Data then used the cash and PGx businesses to fund the drug development and when that started to get traction we divested the service business to Beckman, then the CLIA business to Transgenomic and then exited with the drugs being sold to Forrest for more than a billion dollars...sounds like at least a little genius, or am I being disingenuous?

They can always sell the million dollar art collection that is still (?) on the walls in Morrisville, unless of course the staff have already pilfered it.

BCG is not profitable. Unqualified personnel and incompetence is rampant. No new business is coming in and worst yet, business is lost to competitors. Suitors would have been GE, but now shutting down maybe the only option.
Someone may see some value in the capital equipment, but beyond that there isn't really much there. Even with that, they don't have many NextGen platforms.

Knowing UK site's operation, it can survive on its own, no matter what happens to Pfizer or any other customers. So does Boston site, if it shed some extra weight. However, the other two are just money sucker and there is no hope of any fix. Problem is that you can't easily transfer service business from one site to another without losing more than half of your customers. what can you do other than simply shuting down those two money suckers?

Jerk. Do you have any idea how much money has been ploughed into CLDA over the years to keep it alive?
I hope that when they eventually get bought, there's enough left over to give everyone who owns stock a nice payday.

The folks remaining at BCG do not have the knowledge to fix the problems. New suitors will likely run a fire sale of the separate business units, BCG being one of them, to quickly recover their investment rather than devote resources to problem solving.

Any idea when CLDA, will be taken out by one of the big Pharmas in order to grab their drug candidates ? (Lilly, Pfizer etc...) I see Pfizer has some anti-depressant problems in the press today and we all know of Lilly's patent-cliff. Will these companies also want the patient testing business as well?
