i think it says less about the people but more about the culture, the joke that is management and the work ethics of this horrible pit. we are all fed up and frustrated and instead of doing something positve like getting out we are turning in on each other. we have one life we really shouldn't let this place drag us down, that's why i am going for interviews, think the rest of you should do the same, it is never going to get better, cut your losses and move on you're a long time dead. after all how many people who managed to escape have regretted leaving??? and how many are happier??? time to go.

Brel management needs to take this whole gossipy dept aside and warn them about the serious nature of all these negative posts. I think those with any seniority in QA need to step it up! The new ones and airhead engineers that showed up the last few years have no respect for our reputation and seem to be be taking up space and cheating our comp with no productivity. They are seriously damaging our reputation in the industry. Not so good.

We do work hard back in the lab kinda. Just have lots of down time between refeeding our cells to surf web and post the truth on the Biofind. Just voicing our opinions so get used to the criticisms from down in the trenches. only the yes people drones and newbies are left, i fail to see any innovation and forward thinking there. the damage done to the reputation of a once good company cannot be repaired its notorious within the biotech industry. its only a matter of when not if it will go under. that is why the competition is growing and growing not slowing like brel.

Thankfully in '09, most of our dead weight support staff (QA, PM) that were pulling us down were either sacked or conveniently layed off. Kudos to Brel management.

Did anyone hear of the new staff they have hired in VC Stirling on modern apprenticeships? paying them penuts (sorry the government is paying their wages for 2 years) and making them work 8-6 mon-thus then friday college. Animals. Ah well at leat you are getting your 2.5% paycut back and im sure there will be those promised payrises on the horizon......

I celebrated my twenty years anniversary just last year! I agree that this place is the pits but not sure I can find work with comparable salary in biotech at my level so I hang on for my dear life. Too many in my family depend on my income so I hope I can string brel along for another twenty years and not ever get layed off. Wish me luck.

Problem is I am in a cushy comfort sone and barely do any real work and instead eshop. Is their any hope for me to find a like position in biotech? I worked there forever before they asked me to go earlier this year and now I miss their shortcuts, those "phantom' micro assays and especially lack of any kind of secondary (or primary for that matter)oversight. Whole lot of nothing going on there in Rockville! From what I have seen over the years,FDA just scratched the surface with that letter of warning - oh my!
