The threat of a takeover is somewhat reduced now that the stock price is stabilized and. according to some analysts slightly overvalued. It could easily happen. Why would any company in their right mind want to acquire LT? They don't have much IP that is valuable, the organization is a disease, and their brands have been destroyed thanks to "marketing". Does this go for Bedford, MA as well? There are 2 employees there that are literally milking the company of tens of thousands of dollars a month for their own personal gains. Or should I say frequent flyer miles!!!!!! Initials CG and SCP. This needs to be investigated. HR is already looking into their relationship and gross spending. They take numerous trips together on the company dollar. Recently to India, China etc Japan, together. Germany. And all of us at LT pay for this, and some even lose their jobs because of this waste. CG your budget is not your personal piggy bank!!! These two need to be fired! They are two of the most unethical deviants I’ve ever had the misfortune to come across in this miserable industry. No, this is not true. Sequencing the genome creates lots of data to analyse, understand and then maybe a diagnostic tool is found. I would direct my attention to the analysis. This will need fundamental multi-disciplinary research and may take years to create products and revenue. On the other hand only applied research to the quickest revenue is the road to a mature, and then old company which will die.

Not so much full of shit as simply being disingenuous. Infer that major breakthroughs in progeria treatment are the result of sequencing the genomes of progeria patients... Sure, a reference human genome was important, and it probably would be easier to do what was published nearly a decade ago (ID the gene and splicing defect) today using next gen, but there are only so many single locus, spontaneous mutation orphan diseases out there. So, the big sell has to be cancer. And we all know that if you sequence the genome of your cancer (and there's never any genetic drift once it gets started) and your non-cancer cells, that single difference will point directly to the magic bullet.
