What's about the other big office of ABI such as Germany, France etc. Will they survive? Why do they need this amount of space when the mass specs are gone?
The German office along with Glasgow will be taking on all of the tech support etc form the closing offices. MS was only a small part of Life anyway.
As for France and the production facility in Warrington? Seems no decision has been made but There's obvious savings to be made from both facilities.

Mass spec sold to Danaher!!. Also three AB Europe offices to shut. Most AB mass spec people and a few others from the closing offices will be kept on by new Danaher though. Mass spec " No longer fits". Its a shame but hardly a complete surprise I guess.

There are just so many products that can't withstand having 6 layers of MBAs, black belts and other experts that know nothing about the technical aspects of the business between the CEO and the customer that it makes for easy pickings. Would be interested to know why, with all the price increases GL has "executed", customers are still buying products they can get for less money elsewhere.

The 310 MAC software is not supported. The 310 is still an active product. I had several mails and emails over the years letting me know it was happening. You don't have to upgrade to anything other than PC data collection....
