I'm not so sure that they are selling because they "can". They might be selling because the bottom has dropped out of the life science market and large players who have bought millions in sales though billions in acquisitions have little choice. I have not looked at Life's financials closely... but is this a possibility?

Yes, 'large industry player' is the operative phrase here. The 'greedy bastards' are selling because they can, and can profit handsomely due to the relevance Life has in the industry. Bio-Rad could only dream to have as many potential suitors wanting to line up to buy it (we're assuming Mr. S isn't quietly shopping offers, of course).

If a troll pretending to be an analyst can so accurately nail the BR situation down to the point that it riles up the BR drones to respond, imagine how much more dire the situation looks to real analysts.

I think that BR is winning, and has won for a long time. WBBA is sitting in his underwear posting crap. Life Tech and GE employees are soiling themselves. While I am out there making a very good living and having fun helping my customers, I also like my colleagues and management (even if they are big useless dummies).
