Anybody have the latest news with this acquisition? Will they, too, be destroyed by a large conglomerate buying and "integrating" them? Any advice for them?

People are unhappy with the
People are unhappy with the GE management and many are looking to leave. First rats to jump ship will be Clarients upper management as they run away with all the money they made off the hard work of the laboratory folks. Next will be the sales rep's trying to follow the upper management. The laboratory folks will be left to deal with the new GE management feeling used and betrayed by Clarients upper management and the sales team.
Not really, Clarient’s issues
Not really, Clarient’s issues are not GE's fault, They are Clarient’s: upper managements complacencies fault. Refusal to “read” the market!
A mirror for what was
A mirror for what was Amersham International, then?
Yes they will survive for
Yes they will survive for now. But you're right they will cut commissions sometime next year and they will have a very unhappy sales staff. this combined with the fact that many of their top group have left and effectively have not brought anything new on the horizon, Will mark the beginning of the denouement.
I hear Clarient is
I hear Clarient is unraveling. From what reps who work for their competitors tell me, they just cannot and will not keep up with the competition.
Have not really done anything spectacular in a few years. Except for their Breast Panel that is doing OK.
Wondering when GEHC will wake up and realize what is really going on...
By then their competition will have cleaned their clocks:

Well Novartis is on the right
Well Novartis is on the right path with their takeover of Genoptix.
Actually everyone is really
Actually everyone is really misguided with the understanding of the TPC Codes. Value of the test to the market place. So some companies are building tests that will receive reimbursement rates of 1500 to 5000 per patient based on what they will save an insurance company. Clarient and many others are jumping on this band wagon and developing new LDTs that have high value to the patient and the insurance companies, unfortunately not the drug companies who like to spray and pray their drug works and does not kill anyone.
Eventually Pharma will figure it out or go the way of the dinosaur.
I hear they are growing and
I hear they are growing and building new labs and hiring and growing and hiring and growing...They will dominate the clinical and CRO space,,,
After the Medicare billing codes change they will be one of the only TC/PC labs left...

No, what am I missing, or NOT missing??? :-O
Clarient will survive for
Clarient will survive for now. The issue is when will the mass exodus of reps begin? When GE cuts their Commission plan? Gives them a super deluxe Quota increase? Or makes them drive god Forsaken Chevy Volts; which by the way were just rated "The Worst Product of 2011".
As happens to all GE take-overs, GE will focus on expanding internationally and ignore the core business stateside! So there will be a lot of talk about new equipment, facilities etc., but it will never happen.
Just ask us former Amersham Reps,,,, Oh that’s the division that runs Clarient now!
