A while back they stopped paying commisions on reagent rentals, and they just stopped paying commision on cash bought instruments. It gets thrown into the pot instead of a pay out for a good sale.

Maybe Dako ain´t that bad, seem to have much less noise around them the last 6 months or so. Taking the company through the cleaners was the right thing to do. Large number of low performers were let go, seem to be getting the growth and performance back.

No changes. A lot of hopes dashed when those of us wanting Agilent to fix DAKO realized they are more screwed up than we are.

Does anyone knows what is it going to change at Dako after the Agilent acquisition?

I'm surprised that to date, Agilent has gone in a 'swabbed the deck," of all the incompetants and pychophants. I guarentee you they would have any problems finding qualified people (quick raid in the desert, would be a cinch)

This company excels at pulling the plug. Eviscerate the organization of competency, then act surprised that success eludes you. The fallback position: Fire someone/anyone to show that you are creating a "culture of competency". Why do these standards not apply to Corporate Management?

Perhaps Agilent pulled the plug on the re-skinned Tecan unit in favor of something designed in-house? (that should be fun to watch, especially as Dako continues to circle the drain.)

Where else but on a rumor mill to better display the rumor of a yet another stainer. Going back about one year ago there was a rumor that Dako would introduce a new machine by the end of last year. Just a rumor I am certain. Same story for the past decade. Wow!

Performance Specs, Retail List Price, date of availability, etc. Do not include any information on a product that cannot be ordered by a qualified customer today with delivery > 180 days or more for commercial use.

Not sure if I am following you. Are you indicating that this company will be acquired in toto by another firm soon? If so, that is a preposterous position to put forth. This company has been held together by chewing gum and bailing wire for the past 2-3 years and has been on the ropes as a player in the AP market for several years prior to that. Their fall from relevance was due in large part to the decimation of the senior leadership which was orchestrated by the prior venture capital owners. Whatever potential this firm held prior was erased quickly by the deft hands of incompetent and self destructive fools brought on recently who were much more interested in indulging themselves in vulgarities than in building a business. If the current owners have any business sense at all, they will sell off any valuable IP on an ala carte basis for whatever they can get. There is very little relevant value remaining in this organization and what is left is waning quickly.

Don't worry BABAHer will save you from that hell, and sink you into their own . everything here sound just like BCI. where is decency?

Very odd behavior among the senior leadership leads one to surmise that this is a failure of oversight at the highest level. Falsely reporting sales numbers to prime up the tender offering will eventually be discovered. Contrast and compare: 1)An Epsilon(-)yearning to spend a few nights in 5 star accommodations to assuage her damaged ego coupled with an easily corrupted wing nut of a dismal failure grasping at false notions of success all the while attempting to rid himself of the stigma of having the appearance of being an effeminate European. The payoff being several years in a concrete floored cell with minimal functionality. She took the bait without thinking and he followed as this is his only recourse by decision. 2)Several loyal, hardworking and intelligent beings pursuing a noble cause and an honest paycheck.

I have to agree with the previous post regarding the fall 2012 buyer fishing. While I have never worked for Dako, I previously had working relationship with Niels Harboe and I'm sure he would be distraught over where this company is going. Seems every time Dako comes up in conversation I hear the same echos regarding poor operations managers and a less than successful sales force and CVP's. Such a shame; 7 years ago Dako was booming. I've also heard on my end that heavy selling is set for Fall '12 - Spring '13.

I agree. Dako was my favorite IHC supplier until about 6 years ago. Great people and good products. They had some back order problems and then everything went to heck.

Dako is on the ropes and has been for years. Floundering because the current ownership will not recognize the value of those that have been struggling on the front line of clinical science to advance our main corporate mission, which when distilled to its finer point is to serve humanity and lessen the burden of onerous disease upon them. The BOD brings in senior commercial "leadership" that has been tossed out of lesser organizations for incompetence, yet believes that these persons will some how raise a great scientifically based company from the ashes of ruin to dominate the marketplace. You famously tread upon the reputation of those loyal persons who believed in Dr. Harboe's original great vision. Congratulations! Sleep well you masterminds of international business, knowing that you fucked up something that would have been much more beneficial to anyone and everyone, had you not been involved.

Worked for Dako for years, however like most I left for a number of reasons (incompetent managers, lack of transparency, pay, an absolute laugh of a group of upper VP's, etc...) Am now working on the east coast and our CFO knows some high up EQT people... Says the company is hemorrhaging and they're ready to dump it ASAP. Apparently they're going to begin heavily fishing for buyers as early as Fall 2012. Get those resumes ready.

that's the dako way. there is so much cohesiveness between departments. all that time spent arguing about who is wrong or who is right could have been spent on fixing the problem. I heard they lost near 100,000 in scrapped products. maybe they need to re-train or fire some of this fools
