Its clear that the intention of the post was to point out that IDT's employees are on drugs. Maybe clear isn't the right word, but it was certainly one of the points being made.

Maybe to play by the new rules for providing evidence for all items being mentioned, all we need to do is suggest, without any convicing proof or any supporting evidence, that the reason IDT's employees can be on drugs at work is that there is no regular blood or urine testing either when beginning employment or randomly during employment. That the testing policy on drugs or alcohol is that the testing will take place only if suspected of being under the influence while at work. Which is great since who wants to waste a good buzz at work anyway? Hold that, actually a few people seem to waste a little buzz at work, since what else can get you through the solenoids clacking for 8 hours?

Might we further suggest that the reason why there is no regular substance testing policy is that it would need to be applied uniformly across all employees. You can't be expected to come back from a long weekend of high risk behaviors needing to put yourself down on the liver transplant waiting list almost ready to blur through an entire 4 hour day at an executive desk with a migrane in the shape of sea urchins trying to escape from behind your eyes and then be expected to pee into a cup while JS taps her foot outside the stall?

You could see how that might not look good when drafting corporate policy. Even if the first time you were caught drunk at IDT its a freebie, just a cab ride and some jaw-jaw sessions.

One could conjecture, but certainly not prove, that certain behaviors have led to these company policies on drug and alcohol intoxication at work or the hiring of those known to abuse substances. If this were a fact, which it isn't since its a rumor, the evidence might be that OWI or other criminal offenses are collected by certain employees like candies are by children on halloween night.

If this rumor were true, which it certainly isn't, there would be documents in the public record, which there couldn't be since its just a rumor.
