Pfizer will increase large molecule research and development with sites that have local access to first-in-class universities, clinical operations, top quality hospitals, lots of available lab space, office space for lease, academic access, close proximity to physicians and patients.
Areas such as Cambridge and Boston Massachusetts have all of these qualities.
Expect layoffs and site reductions with sites that have high overhead costs and lack the above attributes.
