Anyone have any experience of working at Nanosphere?
Opinions on where the company is going?
What about the bloodstream gram +?
All products they have are me too products with no real innovation. The company management is arrogant and has no clue as to what type of products a new start up must develop to thrive in the current economic environment.
Cool technology, but pretty much a rudderless ship. The recent changes equate to nothing more than putting lipstick on a pig and passing it off as the next beauty queen. With other molecular platforms already on the market, what do they really bring that would be a game changer? Nothing that I can think of.
In the 10 years plus that they have been around, they have gone nowhere, largely due to the tactical mistake of going after molecular rather than esoteric immunoassays which they could have leverages the systems sensitvity successfuly (hormone testing). They find themselves now a mee-too molecular platform up against the big boys, but also up against several similar plays, some of which are well backed (GenMark), who have been able to evolve the platform into something the market actualy wants (Cepheid-killer)
