Pfizer Groton is in bad shape

This place is unbelievable. Everyone is playing "look at me!" to try to make themselves look valuable, instead of doing anything useful. Nauseating.

Has anyone any informaton

Has anyone any informaton when the manufacturing sector for Pfizer will be getting there notice if they will be staying open or closing.....its already march 11,2010 and no news yet

you clearly don't know what

you clearly don't know what it takes to run a clinical trial, you must be pharmsci or better yet a tox guy. drug development revolves around you doesn't it? Or are you by chance J. Lamatina?

"MM is doing just what Jeff wants him to do as is the Timwit. It's amazing people believe what they want to believe."

You better believe it! MM and the Timwit are cyborgs. They are programed to destroy, not to think or offer advice to me. I let my Wife and Frankie "The Iron Anus" do that but nobody else.

And should anybody successfully hack MM or Timwit's seek and destroy program to interfere with their mission, I have a kill switch on me at all times. All I have to do is press it and both of them will be immediately terminated and then replaced with their second generation clones, which are under development as we speak.

MM was employed as a hit man.

MM was employed as a hit man. Since the day that patronising smile first appeared in Sandwich he has shown himself to be a one-trick-pony. He can cut, cut and cut. Regardless of what is happening now, eventually Pfizer will level out. From there, it will need to build again. MM will have no role - he has proven himself on a daily basis of lacking any sort of positive, constructive, strategic or scientific thinking. If he had, then we would not be in this mess today. Pfizer will have no role for him and there is no way that he will be allowed any more power to protect himself and his cheerleaders. He will have to go. But what will happen to his Oompa Loompas then? Will we finally be able to perform a Rolphectomy?

Historically the site to be saved has been the site that the VP Pfizer R&D has managed and rose up from the ranks with.

JL was a legacy Pfizer Groton VP and was instrumental in keeping both Groton open and eliminating the AA R&D site.

In the next round, if MM stays then Pfizer Sandwich stays.

It will be Groton.

Is this for Pharm Sci? Gosh, took long enough already.

Geodon,Chantix, Torcetripid, etc... all Groton. However, Ann Arbor discovered a little drug named Lipitor. You may have heard of this drug. Groton can't do jack!!!

Correction, Pfizer can't do jack.

There is no Ann Arbor. No Parke Davis, Pharmacia, Wyeth, etc.

Stop living in the past and look at the dismal present and absolute failure future. Pining for the good ole days at Parke Davis is absolutely ludicrous. It will never return, it is dead, gone, buried, and decomposed.

The employees who had

The employees who had meetings were supposedly told wait until April for the status of jobs and then those affected will know who will need to find other positions. No news if they will be delayering management again such that the supervisors and managers will be doing mandatory benchwork. Possible that Sandwich news has more detail.

We are not "co-located with other Pfizer sites"... and they needed to reduce square footage... so we were told when Tim A. was here.

I guess, it is completely true for Groton CVMED . Nothing came out in last 25 years. I would say Groton CVMED research was and is a total waste. Bunch of snobby and incompetent
people. Shame, shame, shame!
Other Groton TAs actually did something. Neuro and AB are OK.

I can name two: Torcetrapib and Exubera. Great “success” of Groton scientists. They are totally incapable. Famous for milking other people products, though. Groton research is total waste. Not a single product for the last 10?, 15? 25? years.

A comment was made at a

A comment was made at a recent meeting I was attending, that Wyeth always seemed to "over plan"... with a back-up to a back-up to a back-up... and we are not used to seeing the spontaneous, on a whim, or knee-jerk actions that we have seen with Pfizer. Perhaps. Wyeth planned and we worked hard and although we will not be here in a year (a few months for some), it will be a sad day when Pfizer bulldozes this 110+ million state of the art building down and deprive the local (very rural) school district its taxes... We had heard mention back in Feb when we first heard about Pfizer buying Wyeth that an option would be to find a contract lab to purchase site and/or business... but not until AFTER we were told we were closing (11/9) did we hear the 1st contract lab was coming in to see the site and make a proposal (which I believe was DENIED!) So better planning on everyone's part would have had contract labs on-site while Pfizer was 'pseudo-assessing' whether or not we would stay open... but it wasn't to be.
