Romney wins the White House. Republicans control both houses of Congress. A strategic decision is made to sell off unprofitable parts of USA, Corp. The Department of Education is sold to Iceland who rank fairly close to the US and, with their economy in tatters, really need the work. Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms is purchased by Ireland. The Treasury Department goes to China (they own enough of our bonds already). The EPA is separated as an entity and immediately declares bankruptcy; no attempt at reorganization is made. The Department of Transportation is taken over by Italy, but they immediately default. Immigration and Naturalization is bought up by Mexico. After a long bidding war, Russia finally wins out over Canada and takes the prized Department of Agriculture. The Department of Energy is sold to Exxon-Mobil. All of the profits from these sales is distributed to the job creators in the hopes that new jobs will magically appear.
With possibilities like these, why would anyone worry about what company is being sold or bought next?

Why bother? If they wanted to execute that business model they would use their own hardware. But if they do, they run the risk of competing with some of their own customers who run service businesses. No, this won't happen.

PKI's 1812 initiative isn't going to plan. It being that they're to raise their share price by 18% by 2012 through fear of a take over if they fail. It actually looks like the opposite is happening so far since it started. I'd gamble on a part sell off in 2012/13 but to who?
