Roche makes $5.7 billion hostile takeover bid for Illumina
Roche has made a hostile bid to pay $5.7 billion for Illumina in hopes of expanding its footprint in the genetic testing market. Roche said it had tried to negotiate a deal with Illumina, but the company had declined to discuss a possible takeover.
