I was just made aware of this

I was just made aware of this site. I was surprised to see my initials mentioned, many thanks to those of you who remember (DS). It has been a while since July 2009. I caught up with a few of the guys, TSL, JT and MO recently, a more relaxed and happy bunch of guys you would rarely find. my time at Siemens was interesting but I can honestly say I have not worked with a more dedicated team of engineers and have made some great friends that will last a lifetime. Certainly would like to catch up with more of the past, I see RC and Bryn H have had posts in the past. Also good to see KB not afraid to put a few posts up, certanly wish you all the best as well. DS

hahahaha - says the engineer

hahahaha - says the engineer who's clueless to what first time fix means, who was so incompetent that real engineers always had to go in and clean up the wreck left in his wake, who was such a complete waste of space that when he left, the stress and workload on the remaining engineers actually went DOWN coz they didn't have to carry his sorry butt any longer. you were cheered out the door man and nobody misses you! i've never known a resignation email prompt so many cheers, smiles and hi-5s!!

That could be anyone of many TSL,MO,JT,DS??

No, the world needs more and

No, the world needs more and more sales people, who cant sell, more useless business managers.. who cant sell....YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!! You all started working in the lab, then decided to be engineers, but realised this is too hard... then lets do some applications work..then this is also too hard, I know "lets be a business manager!" Not to worry when the big boys finally pull the pin because they have had enough, there will be no more contracts...then what? Once again the cyclists have worked it all out, we will just give it away!!!

In the UK you can replace the

In the UK you can replace the screwdriver, but only from one supplier we say, a crap supplier for the wrong industry that sells hugely overpriced market stall grade tools. Siemens: if someone is offering a ripoff service they can't sign up quick enough for it - feckless managers!

Its rewarding to see more

Its rewarding to see more 'people' have been promoted in the ivory tower (but not in Engineering / Applications)... keep up good work, the world needs more ` fluffy diagram engineers`.....

No sir you cannot replace that old broken screw driver, there is no money left in this month's budget after we have done the mandatory, system replacement of the new servers we installed last month as per "Siemens policy" because Germany says so...

Bryn Harris & Rob Calder,

Sorry you are both so soft that you can't handle the responsibilities of the adult world. I hope that your new managers have the patience to give you positive reinforcement for every little thing you accomplish, including using the toilet instead of your pants.

Hi Bryn

I beat you. After three days I packed up and left. It was easy to see how badly this place was run.
A month later...new job, better pay and much nicer management.

Weird, did you really only

Weird, did you really only work their for FOUR days? And you learned all that in that short of time?

Dear Siemens manager, Well

Dear Siemens manager,
Well thanks for the Kudos, but I am unfortunatly unable to accept. I left Siemens after working there for 4 Days (one of a large number of engineers who chose to leave) for a better work/life balance, (somthing that was promised by the management but never delivered). I now have a life outside work as well as a workplace that is not complicated by petty politics and micro management.
It makes for interesting reading though, my impression is that things have not changed much.
Regards
Bryn
