Another engineer goes through the revolving door...
I wish I was an engineer at Siemens, they apparently get paid a fortune and often I see them come into the lab, open the covers on a system and disappear for a an hour or two, then reappear as the clock approaches 5pm. They get paid $$$$ after 5 to work. What life.
Not a problem. Siemens already has a plan in place to design its future customers to Seimens' own unique and tight specification. UND .... vith zeeze customers vee vill conquer the vorld .....
Oops ... That might not be politically correct.
Makes sense, at the end of the day we do have the best sales boys in the business, No? The only problem is the customers have forgotten what they look like!
Ahhh of course, they are not in it to make money, just inflate the managements ego's.
You simply don't understand the Siemens mentality. By allowing existing systems in the field to be replaced with competitive systems Siemens has figured out a way to relieve the pressure on their field service personnel. Why is that so hard to figure out or understand?
5 Dimensions replaced.
what is it this time?
Oops, another "Win" in NSW - for Roche.
Hardly call someone a "Sales Guy" when they give stuff away just to say they have "placed" instruments.
You "MEANS TO SAY" that lets fire those sales boys that are doing such a great job at selling... what have we sold in the last 12 months guys???? You have been shown the door on about every major deal in the region....but lets not discuss that...
Here's an idea... stop paying engineers OT at $120/hr when they have done sweet FA during the day. Chaos, just Chaos I tells ya.
No Jobs.No pay rises,7% growth budgeted for, 0.7% achieved - fire the accountant!
Are there any jobs? I hear Siemens are paying 100K these days plus OT and On Call. Gotta work like a slave for it though....
o,o,o,o they have made a mess....engineers seem to have voted with their feet!!
Remember, "the family always sticks together." They dont give a shit about engineers... Never blame themselves for the mess they create! Remember - "if you dont like it here we can make you leave..."
To: Siemens HR,
More engineers please.
That is why the training dept is so busy.
Is there any left who have any experience?
Who this time??
Definitely true!! Another Victorian engineer is about to bail...
The door is about to start turning again.
Mr Fantastic has been out up setting customers again.
"Can you escalate incompetence - RT and KB are proof you can!"
One thing for sure, you can promote incompetence - JF is proof of that!
Can you escalate incompetence - RT and KB are proof you can!
As long as you "ESCALATE" then everything is ok... Dont mention the fact that the gear is down for days and days on end!!!!! Hmmm
Is that you again Teflon? Are we a little unhappy re the move away from our little comfort corner? haha.
"whats wrong with going to site and not knowing what you are doing ??"
That's been SOP for years!. That's why people like JT are tolerated. They'll take a hammer to anything and have a go... with disastrous results of course.. ceramic valve anyone?
whats wrong with going to site and not knowing what you are doing ??
Siemens is awsome dont be a hater
Seems to succeed you need to be incompetent - SA is a prime example, couldn't fix an instrument in a fit, waited untill 4:30 to go out on a job, then claimed OT...what to do? Promote him!
One wonders why the turn over is so high, they watch guys who find it impossible to start a jobs before 14:00 to ensure they maximize OT and for the rest of the day they... well lets just say being seen at Safeway and Bunnings aint all business related is it?
And these same guys are rewarded for being seniors, being the ones with the experience, lets not even consider work ethic shall we? what up with that? Chaos! just Chaos!
I'll give sonic 6 months btw.
the book is open on "Sonic"
Oh well chin up, the UK's latest export, Steve - or 'Steevo' as you lot will call him has been shipped out last week, he will save the day.
Or is the book open already on how long he will last?
SD or PF?
one more Vic Eng to go before he end of Oct 2011.
Priorty 1 to get customers to stay with Siemens so lets give away lots of instruments and service.
yeah cut back on "unimportant" stuff like training so that we can employ more important managers, consultants and bean counters to see where we are going wrong........remember this years goal the customer is priority number 1, well who would have thought that! great idea consultant heres your commission now lets cut more training to pay for it and so the circus rolls on.
This is true of all Siemens training - most courses cut in half or worse (not just OZ all over) I regularly work on stuff I have been 'trained' on and take a panel off and think 'what the hell is that then?' when I see whats inside. Real expert eh?
Management seem to think they can impress their managers by seeing who can do the smallest pee in the training pot. The engineer has got a laptop with a few pdf's on, or he can call an expert (stop it, your killing me lol) or even as I have to do, ask the customer if he has any suggestions...!!!
Can't be that hard can it? yeah right!
Ha ha thats a joke, worst cheapest cut corner training in the industry hence why most engineers know less than nothing and customers are noticing this
On behalf of Roche (and others) we wish to thanks Siemens for its investment in developing and relocating our future employees when (invariably) you pee them off into leaving. Makes meeting our targets easier, by the way, we may need some more POC trained people later in the year so if you could focus your training on that? cheers.
Roscoe saves siemens
RT out working!
Bozarolo Bullshit and blatant self promotion coupled with the biggest dose of lying and incompetence I have ever come across, he stuffed up big time TWICE and still was promoted!
I am STILL laughing at the time Randy went there and came back and made a videocast feature about how the Australian operation was an example of how to get the work life balance right.
How could someone get so high up and be so totally WRONG?
Or perhaps he meant from Siemens point of view the work/life balance was right - all work, no life?
Siemens Australia DX is being promoted worldwide as a flagship pioneer for the program to merge DX into Healthcare - the phrase sweeping the whole mess under the rug comes to mind.
Another Vic Engineer to bail shortly...I can completely understand why!!
Not that that would be hard!
He fools the best of the management!
Not only instruments, but free service and paying for another company to service the instruments they already have - desperation!
