So if the deal fell through it was because TN was not there to lead, but if it went through then it is also because of TN's leadership. I guess it must be nice to be TN.

Too funny! Affy is the joke of the life science community. Hopeless leadership in all of the "new" business units is only one of the problems with the company. The eBio deal will never close. The only thing closing at Affy will be the front door when the company collapses.

He just needs a CFO who hasn't turned into an angry spoiler and a competent leader for genetic analysis. He's taken care of the other really bad issues already. Just a couple more moves needed.

Say what you will about his funding problems, Witney was actually going to save this rudderless ship called Ebioscience.
Without this deal, Ebioscience is done. Finished. Every Chinese reagent house on Mainland and Taiwan is quickly overtaking this bloated behemoth of white-faced yes-men, asskissers and backstabbers.

The deal is obviously not closing, ever. There will be no press release stating the deal is over. I suspect Witney will make some comment on the quarterly earnings call stating the acquisition is "unlikely at this time."

It was a simple mistake really. Affy thought eBio was trading in California energy futures.... eBio... Enron,... what's the friggin difference. Come to think of it, Tony Ward does look similar to Ken Lay. I've made that mistake often myself.
