For a real life experience, stay away from the Amgen culture. Worked as a subcontractor and a temp. and can't say enough about how "warped" the Amgen culture really is. . . ..

Insular, politicized and arrogant. Unlike the bay area, Boston or San Diego, AMGEN has a virtual monopoly on the greater LA biotech scene. The other region's arrogance, which is significant, is at least tempered with the reality that an employee always has other options nearby.
