What is Alere like to work at?
Depends on who you ask. When the previous administration was in charge, morale was very low. They went through a house-cleaning and things look a little better here.
It really seems that the biggest issues now are related to quality of products. It all started with pregnancy, then strep, then Triage BNP, then Cholestech controls, and now their "new" PT/INR strip. I know that a lot of the knowledge for manufacturing and building the tests has either left or been let go. Between Asia, the US, and Europe the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing.
But other than all of that, it's a job.
